Who We Are
Founded in 2009, the Racing Analytical Laboratory (RAL) began its journey with a specialized focus on anti-doping testing for racing camels in the UAE. Over the years, we have grown in scope and expertise, keeping pace with the country’s evolving traditions and competitive sports. By 2019, we had expanded our services to include different racing animals. Looking ahead, our vision is to extend these services to even more animals participating in races and competitions across the UAE. Our progress is inspired and guided by the vision of the UAE’s leadership, whose dedication ensures that animal competitions are upheld with the highest standards of ethics, fairness, and respect for animal welfare.
Our Accreditation
Our laboratory is accredited by the Emirates National Accreditation System (ENAS) to the ISO/IEC 17025 international standard governing the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. The laboratory further complies with the requirements of ILAC G7:04/2021 Accreditation Requirements and Operating Criteria for Horseracing Laboratories as well as the various policies and guidelines of the Association of Official Racing Chemists (AORC).
Outstanding testing capacity
Every year, WDTL processes more than 20,000 samples from racing camels across the UAE, screening for a wide range of prohibited substances. To meet the demanding nature of racing drug testing, we rely on advanced technologies that ensure rapid, reliable, and precise results throughout the year.
